The Oracle Sun SPARC T3-4 Server is an incredibly efficient system that’s perfect for enterprise-class consolidation and virtualization. Equipped with as many as four 16-core SPARC T3 processors, the Sun SPARC T3-4 Server scales to 512 gigabytes of RAM via four 8-gigabyte DIMMs and 2.4 terabytes of internal disk storage with eight 2.5” 300-gigabyte SAS drives. Sun engineers designed the SPARC T3-4 with a variety of applications in mind, including Java, virtualization, CRM, ERP, SCM, web serving and multimedia, among others.

T3-4 servers can be configured with either 2 or 4 SPARC T3 processors, and each SPARC T3 processor features 16 cores. As a result, Sun T3-4 servers can support the simultaneous execution of up to 512 compute threads.

Furthermore, Sun SPARC T3-4 servers offer robust I/O performance through support for up to 16 PCI-Express (PCIe) slots, as well as the option of an I/O Expansion unit that can provide the T3-4 with up to 4 times the I/O performance of its predecessor.
