Management Environment

Sun Blade 6000 CMM

The Sun Blade Storage Module M2 does not have a Service Processor (SP). Management is provided by the Sun Blade 6000 Modular System’s Chassis Monitoring Module’s (CMM).

Integrated Lights Out Management (ILOM) on the CMM provides basic information for Sun Blade Storage Modules or SAS-NEMs.
The CMM also provides the Sun Blade Zone Manager feature. The Sun Blade Zone Manager is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based systems management tool that allows users to quickly and easily connect Sun Blade Server Modules to Sun Blade Storage Modules to setup multiple zones.
Zones enable simplified management and better security within the Sun Blade 6000 Modular System.
