The 7135-210 is designed to support application on clusters of RS/6000 running HACMP version 4.1 for AIX. This array can be configured to implement up to two different RAID architectures (RAID 0, 1, and 5).
- Dual 16MB cache cards in the Model 210 can operate as mirrored Fast Write Caches to provide up to a 2X improvement in throughput and response time for write operations, or as Read Ahead buffers to provide up to 75% improvement in long read operations.
- The redundant design and RAID support in the Model 110 and Model 210 provide highly available disk storage for the RS/6000 platforms.
- Multiple concurrent RAID modes supported.
- Fault-tolerant configurations are also available for the Model 110 and Model 210 with the additional Array Controller features.
- Outstanding packaging density enables large storage configurations in minimal footprints 2.6 GB to 135 GB (Model 110/Model 210) of storage.
- All models are designed to be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack.
- Support of the SCSI interface in the IBM 7135 RAIDiant Array, both as the system attachment and at the device level, provides a solution for those customers requiring industry standard products.
- Provides storage flexibility by supporting a variety of disk drive modules.
