The 2005-B5K model is a 1U rack mount fabric switch form factor that utilizes the first sixteen ports in the base. This model B5k supports forward and backward compatibility from 16-port to the 384-port.
- 4 Gbps Fibre Channel ports with auto-sensing capabilities to recognize 1, 2, and 4 Gbps devices
- Scalable Ports On Demand configuration in 16, 24, or 32 port increments to accommodate small, to large midrange, and to large enterprise SAN fabric environments
- 1 U form factor to enhance port density and space usage
- High availability design with integrated power supply and fan modules, hot-pluggable components, automatic path routing, and many non- disruptive firmware upgrades
- Base switch firmware includes Advanced Zoning, Full Fabric, Web Tools, and Fabric Watch
- Optional features include 8-Port Additional Activation, Extended Fabrics, Advanced Security, Enhanced Inter-Switch Link (ISL) Trunking, and Performance Monitoring
